A Christmas tea brings the aromas of the festive season to your cup: biscuits, cinnamon, citrus and vanilla. To find your favourite blend, start with the flavours you enjoy, then choose a format and give a little attention to brewing.

Which Christmas tea should you choose

La Via del Tè’s three Christmas blends offer different flavour profiles:

White Christmas: black tea with a biscuit aroma, sugar crystals, raisins and almond, for those who enjoy indulgent flavours.
Racconto di Natale: black tea with apple, cinnamon and spices, for those who love traditional Christmas aromas.
Very Christmas: green tea with notes of mandarin, vanilla and honey, for those who prefer citrus flavours.

Herbal and fruit infusions for the festive season

You can also find flavours suited to winter days in our range of herbal and fruit infusions. Ginger Lemon combines lemongrass and ginger in a herbal infusion with citrus and spicy notes. Arancio Cannella Vaniglia is a fruit infusion with orange peel, cinnamon and vanilla notes: a choice for those who love the aromas of festive treats.

Loose tea or assorted tea bags — which format to choose

White Christmas, Racconto di Natale and Very Christmas are available as loose tea in 100 g tins and 50 g resealable bags. Each flavour uses the same blend in both formats: choose the quantity you prefer and use a roomy infuser to give the leaves space to open.

If you prefer the convenience of pre-portioned tea bags, the Christmas gift box with 12 cotton tea bags offers an assortment to explore, cup by cup. Check the product page to see which blends are included.

How to brew a Christmas tea

Measure your blend. For loose tea, follow the leaf-to-water ratio shown on the packaging; for tea bags, use the recommended amount of water.
Check the temperature and time. As a general guide, black teas are brewed at around 90 °C for 2–4 minutes, while green teas need water at 70–80 °C and a few minutes of brewing. Always follow the specific instructions on the product page for your blend.
Remove the infuser or tea bag when brewing is complete. Leaving it in the cup extends extraction and can make the tea more bitter. Taste before adding sugar or honey.

The product pages for Ginger Lemon and Arancio Cannella Vaniglia recommend water at 90 °C and a brewing time of 5 minutes: check the recommended dose for your cup too.
