The Chasen, a bamboo whisk, is the traditional Japanese tool for properly preparing Matcha, ideal both for those who wish to follow the Cha-no-yu tea ceremony and for those who want to make perfect Matcha at home. Handmade from a single piece of natural bamboo and featuring about 80 thin bristles (hosaki), the chasen is designed to evenly mix Matcha powder with hot water, eliminate clumps, and create the soft, velvety foam typical of high-quality Matcha. Using the chasen is part of a long-standing Matcha preparation tradition, offering a more authentic tasting experience compared to other mixing methods.
