Oolong tea, or Wu Long—literally “Black Dragon”—is a semi-oxidized tea positioned between green and black tea. Produced mainly in Fujian Province, China, it is appreciated for its intense vegetal aroma and harmonious taste with light fruity notes. The caffeine content is moderate. Traditionally prepared using the Gongfu Cha method, which involves multiple infusions of the same leaves to capture all their aromatic nuances.
